Durdle Door and the English Coast

I really wanted to see the English coast before leaving.
It's said to be picturesque and jaw dropping with it's steep, jagged, white cliffs and blue, blue sea.
And it was.
And despite how much people complain about the weather, we had another perfect day.

We hiked up a massive cliff, stopping along the way to enjoy the view (and catch our breath).
And Holly was the happiest dog I've ever seen.

The one thing I specifically wanted to see was Durdle Door.
Because I saw it on Pinterest and it looked amazing.
And luckily for me it was only a short drive away from us!

I think these beaches and hillsides would be amazing for summer picnics.
Despite it being the middle of winter the grass was green and the sky blue which gave me a small glimpse into what it must also look like during the summer months.
I'm so happy I got to see this magical part of England.

2014 Goals Dreamline

Last year I wrote a post titled My Big, Bad Bucketlist and at the bottom of that post I added a little tidbit about Tim Ferriss's Dreamline concept.
It's an important tidbit that will help you get more out of life.

Every year people make New Years Resolutions (Great!).
And every year most people never even start on those resolutions (Not so great..).
Well instead of resolutions you can have goals.
They're similar, but a little different.
Instead of 'I want to work out more' you put 'I want to be featured in a fitness magazine'.
The goal adds an accountability factor to it.

We're now 10 days into the new year.
Have any of you made resolutions and haven't gotten around to doing them, yet?
Look at the sheet and brainstorm about what you really want, then hang it on your mirror and look at it every day.
Those that are working on their resolutions, fantastic job!
Maybe you can use the Dreamline sheet to push you a little further?

Here are my 2014 goals:

The point is to use it!
Hang it where you will see it every day. And read it, every day.

Has anyone used this before?
Did it help them?
I'm happy to help anyone with theirs and explain how it works if you shoot me a quick comment or email.

Let's make 2014 a year of learning, growth, and unconditional love!

Tower Bridge, London

Tower Bridge often gets called the London Bridge... but it's not.
Tower Bridge is the one everyone loves.
London Bridge is a typical looking, no fancy architecture bridge.
I would have loved to stay in London longer and get to walk past Tower Bridge every single day of the year to see how the light reflected off of it changes with the seasons... but who knows, maybe sometime soon I will.

What a sight, hey?
Don't worry London, I'll be back.

#23: See Big Ben

Big Ben was pretty cool if I do say so myself.
What amazing architecture.
And I absolutely loved hearing the strikes of the bell.
If you're in London and you hear them, just stop and listen for a moment.
And then picture that bell chiming for over 150 years, the same way it did in the times of horse and buggy, and knights, and the hippie era.
If your imagination is good enough, for a fraction of a moment you can put yourself in those times and feel complete with the universe knowing that you are also connected to that part of the past.

London has this great feel about it.
History meets modern day.
Little gems scattered throughout if you only but look.

#34: See the Houses of Parliament

I didn't realize that the Houses of Parliament were one with Big Ben (which is actually the name of the bell inside the clock tower, not the clock tower itself).
So many things you learn and see when you travel!

We had the most amazing weather in London as well!
Maybe I might need to move here to really understand what people mean when they say that the weather here is terrible...
